Introduction: Free GPS Tracking Service!

GPS Plein Air is a dedicated Internet site to connecting smartphones with GPS ("PDAPhones").
You install the embedded software on your PDA.

Wherever you are, you are tracked.
Share your GPS tracks with your friends and your family.
At work, in holidays, by plane, bicycle, car, boat, horse, in United-States, Canada, Australia, Europe or everywhere...

Configuration

PDA with GPS and GPRS or phone with data access plan.

Windows Mobile 5.0.

Data consumption is generally less than 5 MB.

Recommended PDA are HP hw6915 (or HP hw6515 with Windows Mobile 2003), Mio A701 and Eten G500.

Features on the PDA

You moves are send in real-time to the "GPS Pein Air" servers.

When you are out of GPRS coverage, moves are stored in the PDA memory. They are sent automaticaly when coverage is correct.
With this function, GPSPleinAir can be used on boat in the middle of the ocean or in moutainous zones.

Features on the Internet Site

You have two accounts. One for your administration, one for users to access your data.
For you guests, two access types : public and private. With private account, you give your users a password to connect GPSPleinAir.com. With public account, every can see your data, without password. You choose your guest account type when you subscribe to GPSPleinAir.

Real-time: when GPSPleinAir is running on your PDA, users see your moves in real-time.
Positions are stored in the GPSPleinAir databases. Users can plot old trajectories.
You annotate your interesting trips for a fast access, you give informations on your points of interest.
With the world map, you can go everywhere!
